SGD Renovated 4th Hole Opens For Play At Aspley Guise

Aspley Giuse & Woburn Sands Golf Club has appointed Swan Golf Designs (SGD) to oversee the renovation of its 1914 Sandy Herd designed golf course. 

Under the supervision of William Swan the project began with the redesign of the par-3 4th hole, with construction undertaken by Profusion Environmental. The renovation involved relocation and reconstruction of the bunkers alongside reshaping of the green surrounds, with the carry lowered to improve visibility.

The project, to be implemented in phases over the coming years, will see the sensitive restoration of the course's original heathwland character.
