Belvoir Park Completes Next Phase Of Renovation

Swan Golf Designs has completed the latest phase of its renovation project on the Colt designed course at Belvoir Park Golf Club, Belfast.

Winter 2020/21 saw the redesign of the 10th, 14th and 15th holes, as well as the reconstruction of the 5th tees. Tackling the two back-nine par-5s, project architect William Swan added new fairway, approach and greenside bunkering to strengthen the two- and three-shot playing strategies. Both holes now require greater accuracy from the tee, particularly on the 10th which previously had no hazards on the drive.  Both holes then require a decision to be made on the second shot, either to take on the green in search of an eagle putt or to set up and advantageous angle of approach.

The 14th is the last of the short holes to be renovated, with small changes to bunker shapes and locations tightening up the front-right of the green while creating a generous run-off to the left.
