Swan Golf Designs Completes 18th Hole Redesign at Kingfishers, Suffolk

This week has seen the completion of the latest Swan Golf Designs project at Kingfishers, Suffolk.

Designed and managed by William Swan, the project included a significant realignment of the 18th hole to add 25 yards to the card and address a long standing conflict with the the increasingly busy practice range. Two new tees have been built in an area that was previously heavy scrub, with a pond created on the carry to add to the feature and challenge of the home hole.

The construction was carried out by Profusion Environmental, who worked closely with William to ensure a high standard of finish despite sometimes difficult weather and ground conditions.

The changes to the 18th hole are part of a widespread imrpovement to the golf course and associated facilities over the past 12 months since, with golfers already enjoying vastly superior playing surfaces thanks to the efforts of Head Greenkeeper Alan Sutcliffe and his team.
